In His Own Words — A Punch NextGen Exclusive Q&A
How did your football journey begin?
“I started playing football as a child in school with friends and classmates. It was always something I loved, whether during breaks or after school. Things became more serious in 2021 when I was scouted at a football camp. After that, I was invited for trials by Leicester City F.C., where I was fortunate to be offered an apprenticeship contract. In April 2025, I signed my first professional contract with the club.”
What is your proudest moment so far?
“During my time in the academy, I had the privilege of captaining the Under-18 team and later the Under-21 team. One of my proudest moments was making my Premier League debut on the final day of the 2024/25 season against AFC Bournemouth. Now I am grateful to be a regular member of the first-team squad, and I’m focused on continuing to grow and improve every day.”
What is your ultimate dream?
“To become the best player in my position in the English league and eventually in the world. I want to help my club achieve success, including promotions and winning the Premier League, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Champions League. I also dream of representing my country and helping lift the FIFA World Cup one day. Beyond football, I want to live a disciplined life, be a positive role model for the next generation, and most importantly live a life that pleases God.”
Who inspired your football ambition?
“My brother Tide. He is a naturally gifted athlete, an incredible long-distance runner and a very talented footballer. Watching his dedication and ability really inspired me to pursue football seriously.”
Three words of advice for young dreamers?
“Discipline. Passion. Prayer.” Those three things have guided me so far, and I truly believe they make a big difference both on and off the pitch.
